2-channel Multipoint Fm+ Differential I2C-bus Buffer

The PCA9614 is an Fm+ SMBus/I2C-bus buffer that extends the normal single-ended SMBus/I2C-bus through electrically noisy environments with the use of a differential SMBus/I2C-bus (dI2C) physical layer. The device consists of two single-ended to differential driver channels for the SCL. The devices acts as a bridge between the normal 2-wire single-ended wired-OR SMBus/I2C-bus and the 4-wire dI2C-bus.

Real-Time Clock (RTC) and Calendar

NXP’s PCF8523 is a CMOS Real-Time Clock and calendar optimized for low power consumption. It provides time and calendar data based on a 32.768 kHz quartz crystal. The PCF8523 is well equipped with a backup battery switch-over circuit which detects power failures and automatically switches to battery supply during power failure.

Digital Temperature Sensor and Thermal Watchdog

The NXP PCT2075 is a temperature-to-digital converter having a power supply range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V.  It has a ± 1 ºC accuracy over – 25 ºC to + 100 ºC. The PCT2075 can be configured for different conditions from normal mode to periodically monitoring ambient temperature, or in shut-down mode to minimize power consumption.
